The Turing architecture from NVIDIA is used to make them. They support up to 7680×4320 resolution while rendering and gaming. Each model has a 192-bit interface width and 6GB of GDDR6 RAM.

Powering the GeForce GTX 1660 series takes 450W. But there are some ways in which these three are different.

The GeForce GTX 1660 Ti contains 1536 NVIDIA CUDA cores with a base clock speed of 1.5GHz and a boost clock speed of 1.77GHz. While the GTX 1660 Super and GTX 1660 feature 1408 CUDA cores with base clock speeds of 1.53GHz and peak clock speeds of 1.78GHz.

Performance boost with multiple GPUs in DaVinci Resolve Studio

DaVinci Resolve Studio supports using multiple GPUs. When using multiple high-end GPUs, there will be up to 2x performance boosts by parallelizing tasks. All GPUS will divide the workload to complete a task faster than done with one GPU at a time.

But DaVinci Resolve Studio does not scale well if you use multiple low-performance GPUs.

Instead of using multiple low-end 1GB or 2GB graphics cards, use a single high-end GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090, AMD Radeon RX 6800, or others.

Conclusion

These GPUs are great for DaVinci Resolve Studio because they support hardware-accelerated H.264/H.265 encoding and decoding. The rendering process will go faster and smoother if you use a more powerful GPU.

If you’re using the accessible version of DaVinci Resolve, a graphics card with 4GB to 8GB of memory should be enough.

But for high-end rendering in DaVinci Resolve Studio, you need a more powerful GPU, like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090, AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, etc.
